Career Center is on the Job for Students

Monday, August 30, 2010

The Engineering and Computer Science Career Fair is a great place to learn about internships as well as opportunities for soon-to-be-graduates.
Engineering Career Center has several workshops and opportunities set up to help students prepare for the upcoming career fair on Wednesday, Sept. 15.  At the Fall Engineering and Computer Science Career Fair, students will have a chance to learn about job and internship opportunities with more than 70 employers looking for employees with technical skills and abilities.

The event will be from noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15, on the fifth floor of the Kansas Union. All KU students are welcome, however employers will primarily focus on making connections with students in engineering and the hard sciences.

Students should dress professionally and arrive with several copies of their resume to share with prospective employers.  Students are also advised to review the list of employers scheduled to attend and learn something about those of interest prior to arriving.

Additional workshops and seminars are available through the University Career Center and the Business Career Services Center.  For more information about these opportunities or the ones listed below, please contact staff in the Engineering Career Center, 1001 Eaton,
