Career Fairs
The Engineering Career Center hosts two annual Career Fairs focused on students with engineering and computer science majors, usually held each September and February. Students are highly encouraged to attend both Career Fairs each year, since different companies may be at each event.
All KU students and alumni are welcome to attend these events. There is no fee or pre-registration required to attend.

Preparation Tips
- Clarify your interests and goals
- Study the advance list of employers attending the fair
- Prepare a "focused" resume for particular employers that you plan to talk to at the fair
- Prepare a "generic" resume, without a focused objective, that can be used for any employer
- Have resumes critiqued by the Career Center, either schedule an appointment or attend a Drop in resume review
- Make multiple copies of your resume(s)
- Prepare a 30 to 60 second "commercial" about yourself
- Prepare questions for employers

- Dress professionally
- Carry multiple copies of your resume(s)
- Bring paper & pen to take notes after meeting with each company
- Be polite at all times to everyone you meet
- Talk to many different types of employers
