Job, Internship & Research Postings

  • KU Career Connections - Postings from employers specifically targeting KU students and alumni: for jobs, internships, and co-op positions. All KU School of Engineering students and alumni are welcome to view these postings at no charge; first time users should contact Engineering Career Center at ecc@ku.edu or (785) 864-3891 for a password.
  • On-campus positions at KU (student hourly, work-study)

Job Banks

There are many on-line links to job or position postings, but not every web site is legitimate or secure. Students may want to take some pre-cautions with their online job search to protect their privacy and avoid becoming victims of crime. The Job-hunt.org website provides some preparation and safety tips.

Company Research Tools

Companies that recruit at the School of Engineering often provide the Career Center with print materials and brochures; company websites are also a good starting point for students looking to expand their knowledge.

There are a number of directories purchased by KU Career Services as well as on-line research databases available through the KU Library Services. Some of these resources will be helpful in uncovering information about a specific company (such as in preparation for an interview with that company) while other resources can be utilized to arrive at a list of companies within a certain industry.

Students are welcome to meet with an Engineering Career Center staff member or career advisor for assistance in researching companies. Please contact ecc@ku.edu or (785) 864-3891 to schedule an individual appointment. The KU reference librarians are also a great resource for assistance with company research.
