Engineering Family Day to Offer "Free" Breakfast

Thursday, September 24, 2009

KU Jayhawk
Donate for Doughnuts, a fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity, will open KU Family Weekend activities at the School of Engineering. Everyone is welcome.

From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Engineering Courtyard, on Saturday, Sept. 26, students and their family members will be able to take part in a Mini-Engineering Expo and enjoy free breakfast. Krispy Kreme doughnuts – 50 dozen of them – will sacrifice themselves for a greater cause. Donations for the breakfast are encouraged and will benefit ongoing volunteer efforts at Habitat for Humanity by Self Engineering Leadership Fellows in the School of Engineering.

The Mini-Expo will feature several student projects at the School of Engineering and will help freshmen learn more about a variety of cool involvement opportunities they can become a part of immediately.

Students in the SELF Program are coordinating the event.
