2005 SWE Evening with Industry Set for Sept. 20

The annual SWE Evening with Industry will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20,2005, in the Kansas Union Ballroom. Evening with Industry, held the evening before the fall Engineering and Computer Science Career Fair, gives students an exclusive opportunity to interact with prospective employers in a pleasant, structured environment.

Tickets, which are $12, must be purchased in advance.

Students who take part in Evening with Industry have unequal access to the people who do the hiring. The evening includes time to mingle and a formal dinner. Event organizers strive to connect students with employers representing the student's career interests. In addition, all employers who take part in the event will receive a CD with resumes of all students in attendance who submit a resume by the Aug. 30 deadline.

All engineering and computer science students -- especially female students -- at all academic levels are strongly encouraged to attend this exclusive event. Seating is limited. Tickets for the event will soon be available from SWE members and in the Deans Office, Eaton Hall, Room 1.

Dress is business attire. Suits are strongly recommended. Resumes must be submitted as a PDF or as a Microsoft Word document.
