E Club to Look at Entrepreneurship

Thursday, November 2, 2006

The inaugural meeting of the new "E Club of KU" will be at 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 6, in the Kansas Room, Kansas Union.

The multidisciplinary E Club is focused on developing entrepreneurial skills and networks for students, staff and faculty. A Technology Entrepreneurship division will be formed within the club to specifically connect those interested in eventually starting their own company or working in a small company centered on technology development.

A panel presentation titled "Design, Development and Discipline: The Keys to New Venture Success in Design, Business, Pharmacy and Engineering" will be held during the meeting.

All are encouraged to come learn what is going on in entrepreneurship at KU and how to get connected. Networking opportunities and refreshments will be provided.

For more information, contact Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Lisa Friis.
