[Frosh Frenzy]

The KU School of Engineering has several activities scheduled that will help start off the new academic year.

A quick run down of activities in the first few weeks of class includes:

· Tuesday, Aug. 14, New Graduate Student Orientation, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Eaton Hall Atrium and Spahr Engineering Classroom; for incoming graduate students. Lunch is included.
· Wednesday, Aug. 15, Engineering Learning Community Welcome, 5:30 p.m., Spahr Engineering Classroom, 2 Eaton Hall; for freshman students enrolled in an ELC program.
· Thursday, Aug. 16, Back to School Barbecue, afternoon in the Engineering Courtyard between Spahr, Learned and Eaton Halls; for all School of Engineering students and pre-engineering students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Enjoy delicious cookout food as you reconnect with classmates and make new friends. Sponsored by Engineering Student Council.
· Saturday, Aug. 18, Frosh Frenzy, 4:30 p.m., Engineering Courtyard between Spahr, Learned and Eaton Halls, for freshmen in the School of Engineering and pre-engineering students enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Frosh Frenzy is a challenging introduction to campus that pairs incoming students with other incoming classmates in their major. The event includes tasty prizes and delicious refreshments. Dress for the weather. Sponsored by Engineering Student Council.
· Monday, Aug. 20, Introductory Meeting of the National Society of Black Engineers, 5:30 p.m., Dean's Conference Room, 1 Eaton Hall; all interested students are welcome.
[A Frosh Frenzy team consults before taking off on their trek] · Tuesday, Aug. 21, Introductory Meeting of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, 5:30 p.m., Dean's Conference Room, 1 Eaton Hall; all interested students are welcome.
· Tuesday, Aug. 21, Society of Women Engineers Welcome Back Reception, 5:30 p.m., Eaton Hall Atrium; all interested students are welcome.
· Wednesday, Aug. 29, Career Kick-off Day, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Engineering Courtyard, between Spahr, Learned and Eaton Halls; for all School of Engineering students. The event includes tasty tailgate fare and mouth-watering information about the services available through Engineering Career Center.
· Saturday, Sept. 8, School of Engineering Alumni/Freshmen Tailgate, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., engineering tent at Memorial Stadium; for freshmen in the School of Engineering and pre-engineering students in the college.
