Get Ready to Expo

Wednesday, January 9, 2008

Information about 2008 Engineering Expo activities is available online, event coordinators announced in early December.

The annual two-day event will be Friday, Feb. 22, and Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008. Expo takes place during National Engineers Week and attracts more than 1,000 K-12 students from across Kansas and the Kansas City region. All activities take place on the University of Kansas Lawrence campus and are free.

Engineering Expo, which is organized by KU Engineering Student Council, features dozens of hands-on exhibits and interactive displays created by students in the KU School of Engineering. Coordinators have chosen the environmentally green theme of “Planet Engineering.” KU students also are organizing several contests for visitors in both Learned and Eaton Halls. Most contests require advance planning and registration.

Learn more by going to the KU Engineering Student Council Website and clicking the link for Expo, or email the Expo coordinators.
