Incoming Freshmen Invited to Ice Cream Social

Friday, June 5, 2009

School of Engineering freshmen in the class of 2013 and their parents are invited to an ice cream social when they go through New Student Orientation at the University of Kansas.

The event gives incoming freshmen a chance to meet School of Engineering faculty and staff as well as meet some of their future classmates.  Families can get answers to questions and students can learn more about their majors and other options.  Engineering student organizations also will have representatives on hand to recruit future members.

The ice cream socials will be held the first day of each freshman Orientation session and begins at 7:45 p.m. in the Engineering Courtyard, between Learned and Eaton Halls. In case of stormy weather, the event will move to the Eaton Hall atrium.

Ice cream social dates are:

  • Monday, June 22
  • Monday, June 29
  • Thursday, July 9
  • Thursday, July 16
