The registration deadline for taking the fall Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is Saturday, Aug. 15, for current engineering students. The Kansas State Board of Technical Professions administers the test and handles registration.
Certain degree programs at the University of Kansas School of Engineering require students to take the FE Exam before they are awarded their degrees. Many other departments strongly recommend students take the exam.
KU is one host site in Kansas for the FE Exam on Saturday, Oct. 24. Report time is 7:15 a.m. and all participants must bring their admittance letter.
As the semester progresses the school will host several free review sessions to help students prepare for the exam.
The exam also will be offered in April. Students must register by February 1 to take the April exam.
