Fall Alumni Events Include Engineering Tailgate

The School of Engineering Homecoming Tailgate at KU Football KU School of Engineering alumni and friends are invited to a variety of events during the fall months. Key among the events are the Engineering Tailgate Buffet Homecoming Weekend and the Deans Club Dinner.

Sept. 26

Engineering Family Day, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Engineering Courtyard between Eaton and Learned Halls. Mini-Expo and Donate for Doughnuts, presented by students in the Self Engineering Leadership Fellows (SELF) Program.  School of Engineering freshmen and families are invited to learn more about School of Engineering projects and organizations at the Mini-Expo and everyone is invited to take part in Donate for Doughnuts. Proceeds from Donate for Doughnuts benefit a Lawrence Habitat for Humanity project of the SELF students.

Oct. 8

Engineering Deans Club Dinner, by invitation only.  The Deans Club Dinner recognizes the role of some of the School’s most ardent supporters – donors who give more than $1,000 each fiscal year. Contact KU Endowment to learn how to become a Deans Club Donor. Contact Carolyn Church, cchurch@ku.edu, to learn more about the event.

Oct. 10

Homecoming Tailgate Buffet, Campanile Hill. Festivities begin 2 hours prior to kickoff of the KU vs. Iowa State game. Cost is $5 per plate; complimentary for Deans Club donors. Advance registration is appreciated and may be made online.

Oct. 22

Chicago Area Alumni Gathering, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Presentation ""Perspectives From the Investment Banking Industry" Goldman, Sachs & Co., 71 South Wacker Dr. Cost to attend is $20 and includes a wine and beer bar. To register, go to KU Alumni Association.

Nov. 5

Wichita Area Alumni Gathering, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wichita Country Club

Dec. 3

Kansas City Area Alumni Gathering, 6:30 p.m., Hallbrook Country Club.
