KU School of Engineering sophomores who would like to immerse themselves in a leadership program can apply to join the Self Engineering Leadership Fellows Program. The deadline for applications is March 2, 2012.
The SELF Program combines an enviable financial package with an enrichment program designed to help ambitious engineering and computing students become leaders in technology and business. Students in the SELF Program take part in a variety of activities and seminars that work to further develop their leadership skills as well as prepare them for the business and entrepreneurial work place.
A modest number of School of Engineering sophomores with evidence of leadership and involvement will be invited to take part in the SELF Program during the next two academic years. In addition, to the enrichment program, the Fellows receive $7,000 in each of the junior and senior years. Strong candidates will be able to show a track record of attributes that relate to successful leadership.
Students interested in applying should take the time to review the SELF Program web pages for current students .
