Orientation Session Will Assist New Graduate Students

On Monday, Aug. 15, the University of Kansas School of Engineering will host a New Graduate Student Orientation for students who plan to attend classes on the

Lawrence KU Campus

in the fall. Students will have the opportunity to meet new people, receive advising assistance from the School and their particular departments, and obtain information about KU and the Lawrence community.

Lunch will be provided.

by Aug. 1, 2005.

A schedule of the day's events is below.

11 a.m.: Check-in,

Locke Atrium, Eaton Hall

11:20 a.m.: Overview of School,

Spahr Engineering Classroom, 2 Eaton Hall

Students will have the opportunity to learn about services for engineering students and get answers to specific questions. Various dean's office administrators and a representative from the Graduate Engineering Association (GEA) are among the presenters.

12 p.m.: Lunch and brief presentation on library services,

Spahr Engineering Library

12:30 p.m.: Departmental Sessions*
