Why was the KU School of Engineering the right choice for you?

The School of Engineering at KU is one of the best in the country and the top institution in the state of Kansas. Engineering is not only taught, but practiced here. I was instantly attracted to KU. I felt I could learn and grow as a person. I believe the school of Engineering can help me towards my goals and aspirations! I feel KU is the right choice for me and I would recommend KU to my friends because of the world class faculty and infrastructure, a safe town to live in, the scholarship programs and a solid support structure for international students. I now call KU my home!

What are you currently researching?

My research right now is about finding a solution to “Space Debris”. It is at the preliminary stage and currently I am studying about Space weather and working with satellite data to find an accurate density and drag values for satellites at Low Earth Orbit (LEO). 3.

What do you want to do after graduation?

After graduation, I want to take my research forward and work in the space industry, ESA, NASA and SpaceX are all working on the same issues.

What is your favorite thing on campus or in Lawrence that a prospective student should check out?

After a busy day, I like to take my bike and hit the trails on campus or go on Mass St to unwind and relax. Lawrence is very vibrant and it satisfies everyone! You can always find things to do on campus or just sit under a big tree and read a book on Potters Lake. I would recommend the new students to check out the Natural history museum, go in for a freshly brewed beer at Free State brewery or for the more adventurous, cycle to Clinton Lake and watch the sun set.

What advice do you have for prospective graduate students?

Be diligent and work hard on your subjects and you will always end up getting the best results.
