SELF on the Road - Seattle - Day 2

Sunday, August 12, 2018

For the juniors’ second day in Seattle, they had the entire day to explore all that Seattle has to offer. It was beautiful outside (not even raining a little bit!). Many students visited Pike’s Place Market, enjoying activities such as visiting the first Starbucks, eating fantastic pastries, and attending a Sounders game. Other common activities included the aquarium, the Museum of Pop Culture, and the outdoor Olympic Sculpture Garden.  The students enjoyed a variety of food including Asian, Mediterranean, traditional American, and many more. Pike’s Place Market has fresh flowers, produce, and seafood to enjoy, as well as many pastry shops and cafes. Overall, today was a great day to explore Seattle and its rich culture. The students are ready and excited for the Google visit on day 3.
