Juniors, Sophomores Can Apply for Leadership Challenge 2006


Applications are now available for Leadership Challenge 2006 for sophomores and juniors in the schools of Business and Engineering. The free leadership seminar, which takes place Jan. 17 and 18, is for selected applicants. The program is designed to give students the opportunity to recognize the characteristics of successful leadership and to utilize those characteristics to unlock the doors to their success.

Keynote speaker Skip Gast is a human resources director at Black & Veatch and has served in a variety of different roles since joining Black & Veatch in 1997. Leadership Challenge 2006 also will conduct exercises in developing leadership potential, as well as provide networking opportunities with industry representatives.

The schedule includes a reception and mixer the evening of Jan. 17 and a full schedule of activities on January 18 led by veteran leadership seminar facilitator Denny Faurote. Meals are provided as part of the program.
