Diversity & Women's Leadership Skills
Diversity Programs' main responsibility is to develop and implement activities that benefit minority engineering students. All members have the opportunity to organize projects and communicate the need for new programs.
Members help recruit new students into the engineering school and into Diversity Programs. They also ask companies that employ engineers to help fund the program. These recruiting and fund-raising efforts give students the opportunity to work closely with a variety of professionals and to engage in job-related situations.
Students also are encouraged to participate in their respective Diversity Programs organizations. They are advised to take part in their departmental societies and organizations, participate in academic Olympiads and in conferences and workshops that foster networking and help build skills.
