Directions & Parking Information

Friday

Drop-Off

Buses must drive to The Lied Center located on West Campus. Below are travel directions:

Address: 1600 Stewart Drive, Lawrence, KS 66045

From K-10:

  1. Once in Lawrence, K-10 becomes 23rd Street. Follow 23rd Street west until it intersects with Iowa and then turn right.
  2. Turn left at 19th Street.
  3. Turn right onto Constant Avenue.
  4. Drive straight and the Lied Center will be directly ahead of you.

From I-70:

  1. Take the West Lawrence Exit (Exit 202).
  2. Follow Iowa Street until it intersects with 15th Street/Bob Billings Parkway, then turn right.
  3. At the light, turn left onto Crestline Drive.
  4. At the top of the hill turn left again onto Petefish Drive. The Lied center will then be directly ahead of you.

Upon arrival, volunteers will queue buses in Lots B and C. Buses will be released in groups of 4-5 to drop students off at Murphy Hall (1530 Naismith Dr, Lawrence, KS 66045).

To Murphy Hall:

  1. Drive south on Constant Avenue, then turn left onto 19th Street.
  2. Continue east on 19th Street, then take a left onto Naismith Drive.
  3. Continue north, then take a left at the 3-way stop.
  4. Follow the bend and stay right through the next intersection. At this point, you will be at Murphy Hall.
  5. Pull into the loop on the right to drop off students. Volunteers will receive you and assist with the unloading process.

After unloading, promptly return to the Lied Center parking lot for holding. Follow these directions:

  1. Exit the loop and take a left onto 15th Street at the first 4-way stop.
  2. Continue west, past the School of Engineering and across Iowa Street.
  3. 15th Street becomes Bob Billings Parkway west of Iowa. Continue on Bob Billings Parkway, then turn left onto Crestline Drive.
  4. At the top of the hill, turn left onto Petefish Drive. The Lied Center will be directly ahead of you.

Pick-Up

Volunteers will disperse buses as needed to pick up students at Murphy Hall (1530 Naismith Dr, Lawrence, KS 66045).

To Murphy Hall:

  1. Drive south on Constant Avenue, then turn left onto 19th Street.
  2. Continue east on 19th Street, then take a left onto Naismith Drive.
  3. Continue north, then take a left at the 3-way stop.
  4. Follow the bend and stay right through the next intersection. At this point, you will be at Murphy Hall.
  5. Pull into the loop on the right to drop off students. Volunteers will receive you and assist with the pick up process. ​

After picking up your students, exit campus. Follow these directions:

  1. Exit the loop and take a left onto 15th Street at the first 4-way stop.
  2. You will continue west past the School of Engineering to Iowa Street.
  3. If returning via K-10, turn left onto Iowa Street. If returning via I-70, turn right onto Iowa.

Parking Information for Cars and Vans

There are three (3) areas available for cars and vans.

  1. Phi Kappa Psi Parking Lot (1602 W 15th St.)
    1. $5 Charge: Expo WILL NOT refund or pay for any parking charges.
    2. Limited availability, first come first serve.
    3. Closest lot to the Engineering Complex.
  2. St. Lawrence Catholic Center (1631 Crescent Rd.)
    1. FREE parking
    2. Limited availability, first come first serve.
    3. Close to the Engineering Complex.
  3. KU AFPK Parking Garage (1501 Irving Hill Rd.)
    1. $1.75/first hour, $1.50/every additional hour charge: Expo WILL NOT refund or pay for any parking charges.
    2. Close to the Engineering Complex.

PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR PARKING CHARGES OR PARKING VIOLATIONS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PARKING.

Saturday

Parking Information for Cars:

Parking on Saturday is your responsibility. There are some close lots with free parking.

  • KU Lot 54 (directly south of the Engineering Complex at the corner of 15th and Naismith).
  • KU Lot 90 (directly south of the Business School at 1654 Naismith Dr.).
