- Director of Undergraduate Academic Services

- * Mental Health First Aid Training
My primary function is the retention and graduation of undergraduate students from our various Engineering programs. This is accomplished through direct support of students, but also through the support of Engineering faculty and staff. I coordinate the School of Engineering's undergraduate orientation program, as well as various academic supports such as tutoring, practice exam sessions, and our ENGR 101 course. I serve as one of the direct academic advisors for First-Year General Engineering and Undecided students. As students move through their major, I oversee accuracy to their Degree Progress Reports (DPRs) and process forms such as transfer contracts and course substitutions. Students can always meet with me to discuss interest in Engineering, ask questions about their progress, or find out more about University policies or supports. I facilitate the academic standing process, and can be a helpful resource for students as they work to overcome academic struggles. Once students have completed their degree requirements, I certify their graduation and also coordinate our December and May graduation ceremonies.
I support faculty and staff in the School of Engineering by serving as a resource for KU and School of Engineering academic policy and campus support offices. This includes managing our curricular and course change processes, and overseeing the Engineering section of the academic catalog.
