Biography

Jacob Simpson is a sophomore studying Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. He is a member of the KU Honors Program and will be a Seminar Assistant this fall for freshmen students joining the program. Within the School of Engineering, Jacob is a part of Jayhawk Motorsports (JMS) where he assisted with the team's sensor system and wiring harness assembly. He is also a part of KU chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), where he is the Solar E-Bike Team. This summer, Jacob attended Dr. Camarda's "Optimization and the Cold War" study abroad trip to Berlin, Germany. As an out-of-state student at KU, he is excited to meet with prospective students and help them navigate their journey to KU!
