Malcolm S. Harned

Former Sr. Vice President, Cessna Aircraft Co.

Harned was honored for his contributions in the field of general aviation aircraft. He pioneered the supersonic ramjet at General Electric and directed the nuclear turbojet program for the U.S. Air Force. He was senior vice president of Hughes Aircraft Division where he directed the development of a turbine-powered light observation helicopter. He served as executive vice president of Gates Learjet. As senior vice president of technology and a member of the board of directors of Cessna, he helped develop the Conquest turbo prop and the Cessna Citations.
