Mona Shaheen

Mona has been a Jayhawk since 2020. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D., and her research is an extension of her master's degree project which focuses on structural vibrations, vibration mitigation, and dynamics. Mona enjoys being a GEA ambassador, as she likes to stay active wherever she is. Through GEA, she can plan events and engage with fellow engineering students. She enjoys attending various international student events, which allow her to learn and meet people. Mona loves traveling and being in nature. Her goal is to visit as many national parks in the US as possible before the end of her PhD.
