Biography —
Muhammad Sajjad Rashid is a Ph.D. candidate in Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering at the University of Kansas. His research, under the supervision of Dr. Elaina J. Sutley, focuses on disaster resilience, hazard mitigation, managed retreat, and community adaptation to natural hazards. His work integrates engineering, data-driven decision-making, and equity considerations to support resilient infrastructure and informed public policy. He is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research, mentoring fellow students, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen graduate engineering education and professional development at the University of Kansas.
