Sophia Nguyen

Sophia Nguyen is a sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering. She has gained experience through undergraduate research with Dr. Sutley's Adaptive and Resilient Infrastructures Driven by Social Equity (ARISE) team. Sophia is going into her second year with the Emerging Scholars Program, and she is the current Project Lead for the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE). Her involvement within the School of Engineering also includes Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and within the KU Community, she is a part of the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA). Sophia has found a deep passion for design projects and values making new connections within the Engineering community!
