Expo to showcase the wonders of KU Engineering
LAWRENCE — A free, two-day event on the University of Kansas Lawrence campus offers hands-on experiences for K-8 students to explore the wonders of engineering.

The KU Engineering Expo is set for Feb. 22-23. Organized by KU School of Engineering students, the event offers competitions and displays in multiple engineering disciplines, including bridge construction, flying drones, computer coding, battery testing and more. This year’s theme is “Ascend to Innovation.”
The expo will include an open house for the public from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 22. All-day engineering competitions for K-8 students take place Feb. 23. Events take place at the KU Engineering complex, 1536 W. 15th St.
The Expo is a longtime KU tradition. The first event took place in 1911.
