What is the focus of your research as part of the Undergraduate Research Fellows Program?
I am working on quantum state preparation using genetic algorithms, exploring optimization techniques to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of initializing quantum states for computation and simulation.
What is your favorite part of the Undergraduate Research Fellows program?
My favorite part of the UGRF program is the opportunity to collaborate with master's and PhD students, professors, and industry professionals while gaining exposure to cutting-edge research. The program also provides valuable insights into the work of other undergraduate researchers, allowing me to see how they are contributing to their respective fields and broadening my perspective on advancements in science and engineering.
What are your future academic and professional plans?
I plan to pursue graduate studies in quantum photonics and work toward the development of noise-resilient quantum hardware. My career goals include advancing quantum technologies to improve computational efficiency and scalability.
