Graduate Student Orientation
The School of Engineering hosts an orientation for new graduate students during the fall and spring semesters. Orientation offers students an opportunity to meet graduate students and faculty, gain valuable information about the advisor/advisee relationship, research and academic integrity, funding resources, receive enrollment assistance, and obtain information about KU graduate programs, the city of Lawrence, and the community. Graduates who received their bachelor's degree from KU are also encouraged to attend. Students seeking certificate programs and those enrolling in online programs do not need to attend
All incoming graduate students are welcome to attend orientation. The Engineering/Project Management and Information Technology programs, housed on the Edwards Campus in Overland Park, Kan., host a separate orientation, and these students are not expected to attend the Lawrence campus session. Part-time students who are working professionals enrolling in the Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering department are also not required to attend, but attendance is encouraged.
Please let us know if you'll be joining us at new graduate student orientation RSVP.
