Donald J. Nigg

Retired Director of Engineering for Allied Bendix

Donald J. Nigg was honored for his promotion of research and design. He directed the engineering division of Allied Bendix, which produced non-nuclear components for weapons systems. He encouraged his employees to forge new paths into technology and more than 200 patent disclosures were filed under his direction. He was a member of the KU School of Engineering Advisory Board and the Board of Trustees for the KU Center for Research Inc.
