Biography —
Retired Chief of Water Supply and Development for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment
Dwight Metzler was honored for his dedication to the maintenance, protection and proper utilization of America's environmental resources. He served the state of Kansas as its chief of water supply and development for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. He was on the Board of the International Association for Water Pollution Research, president of the American Public Health Association executive board and president of the Kansas section of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was also a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
