Biography —
Co-Founder and Director M/A-COM Inc.
Richard M. Walker was honored for his innovative designs in the microwave and communications fields. He was co-founder and director of M/A-COM. He held 22 patents for inventions of microwave components, semiconductor diodes and solid state oscillators. During World War II he worked in the MIT radiation laboratory, where he helped develop microwave radar and contributed to texts on microwave and radar designs.
