William C. Douce

Retired President and CEO of Phillips Petroleum Co.

William Douce was honored for pioneering his company's entry into the chemical business, for expanding the international search for oil, and for developing new domestic energy supplies. Under his leadership, Phillips Petroleum Co. became the 12th largest chemical operation in the United States and expanded overseas energy development, particularly in the Norwegian North Sea.
