Biography

Carson Richardson is a senior majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a passion for aircraft design and research. He has interned as a Continuous Improvement Intern at Heubel Shaw (2022) and worked as a Systems and Structural Engineering Intern at SNC (2023-2024). Carson is actively involved in research as an Undergraduate Research Fellow in the Adaptive Aerostructures Lab and holds leadership roles in Jayhawk Aero Design (JAD) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). His favorite courses include structure classes and technical electives, and he enjoys singing in KU choirs

What is the focus of your research as part of the Undergraduate Research Fellows Program?

Adaptive Aerostructures

What is your favorite part of the Undergraduate Research Fellows program?

My favorite part of the program is getting to network with other fellows, and learn about their research.

 

What are your future academic and professional plans?

I plan to go into industry after graduation, and then obtain my masters after I obtain a few years of experience.
